Imam-ul-Haq Trolls Australians During Century Celebration

Pakistan vs Australia:- Rawalpindi’s pitch was a lifeless one. It offered nothing to the bowlers and the batters comfortably scored runs at will. One such batter who enjoyed the most batting on this wicket was Imam-ul-Haq. The Pakistani opening batter scored twin tons during the first test, including a 157 in the first innings and an unbeaten 111 in the second.

In the second innings, Imam had a few lucky escapes especially when he was close to reaching his century. In the 60th over, there was a huge appeal for Imam’s wicket when the Australians thought there was an edge. The umpire turned it down and the Australians decided not to review it. Imam was out had they reviewed it.

In the 62nd over, a similar thing happened and again there was an appeal. The umpire gave it not out but this time, Pat Cummins decided to review it only for it to be turned down.

Soon Imam-ul-Haq raised his bat to celebrate his century. During his celebration, he also trolled the Australians by gesturing the third umpire signal as his teammates in the dressing room laughed, including Babar Azam.

Pakistan’s decision to bring Imam-ul-Haq back into the side in the 2nd Test as an opener, replacing middle-order batsman Haris Sohail, did not provide the desired results. The left-handed batsman was dismissed for just 2 in the first innings by Mitchell Starc, while he was dismissed by Josh Hazlewood for a duck in the 2nd innings. The 23-year-old was criticised by the fans on social media. A tweet from Iceland Cricket trolling the batsman has garnered a lot of attention.
